Theme learning sessions¶

Note: The Themes currently only run in Finnish.

The course includes Theme learning sessions, each of which focuses on its own theme. These are recommended for students who wish to deepen their knowledge and, for example, continue studying cybersecurity. They are also an opportunity to meet other students. Theme sessions are not compulsory, but participation earns additional points for the examination. Each successfully completed Theme grants 3 bonus points. A maximum of 12 bonus points can be earned from Theme sessions. Information about the Themes, schedules and instructions can be found in the Theme Moodle area.

During the Theme learning sessions, participants work through various tasks in groups in a pleasant and discussion-oriented atmosphere. In addition, there may be other activities related to the session theme. These sessions are a highly recommended way to deepen learning. Theme sessions are recommended for everyone and are particularly useful for those planning to continue to more advanced courses.

A theme learning session usually includes one or more preliminary tasks that must be completed and submitted according to the instructions before the session. General instructions for the sessions can be found here. Please note that individual themes may follow practices that differ from the general instructions.
